Nelli Öster receives the Industri Kapital scholarship of 25,000 euros
Nelli Öster, BSc (Hons), 25, has been appointed a recipient of the Industri Kapital scholarship of 25,000 euros. The scholarship is administered by the scholarship foundation at the Association of Finland-America Associations.
The Industri Kapital scholarship, which is awarded once a year, is awarded to a young Finnish economics or technology student for further or parallel studies in the USA. This was the third time the scholarship was awarded.
This fall, Nelli Öster will begin a 4-5 year PhD in Finance degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in California with behavioral finance as her field of research. Stanford is one of the world’s leading business schools and approximately 3–6 new students begin their studies within the PhD program in finance each year.
Nelli Öster holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from the London School of Economics and has worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Investment Research departments at the investment banks Schroder Salomon Smith Barney and Goldman Sachs in London. She has also studied finance at the Helsinki School of Economics and Cognitive Science at the University of Helsinki. Nelli is from Helsinki.
Industri Kapital channels its scholarship through the Finland-America Association of Associations. Finnish students can apply for various scholarships for further work or research in science and art through the scholarship foundation at FAFF.
