Industri Kapital broadens its senior management team and promotes three to Partner

Industri Kapital is broadening its senior management group by adding Christopher Masek, Partner responsible for Industri Kapital’s French activities and Detlef Dinsel, Partner responsible for the firm’s German activities. They join Björn Savén, Kim Wahl, Michael Rosenlew and Gustav Öhman, bringing the total group to six senior executives.

At the same time, the firm is promoting three team members to Partners. Trygve Grindheim becomes responsible for investment activities in Denmark/Norway while Kristiaan Nieuwenburg becomes responsible for Industri Kapital’s investment activities in the Benelux region.  In addition, James Yates is promoted to Partner in his current role as responsible for Finance and Administration.

The promotions come following a busy 2004 in which IK announced four investments and seven realisations, returning a total of €814 million of cash proceeds.

Christopher Masek (French) joined in 2000 from KPMG Corporate Finance in Paris, where he was a founding partner. He has degrees from Yale University and IEP in Paris (Sciences-Po).
Detlef Dinsel (German) joined in 1996 after a career in consulting with Bain and in industry with the Hilti Group in Switzerland. He has degrees from INSEAD and TU Munich.
Trygve Grindheim (Norwegian) joined in 1997 having worked for both Morgan Stanley and CSFB. His degree is from Fribourg University in Switzerland.
Kristiaan Nieuwenburg (Dutch) joined in 1999 having worked in investment banking for Lehman Brothers. He has degrees from Harvard Business School and Delft University of Technology.
James Yates (British) joined in 2002 from Arthur Andersen where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. His degree is from the University of Central Lancashire.
