Integrated throughout the investment lifecycle, our Capital Markets team is responsible for leading acquisition financing for IK’s portfolio companies, capitalising on the team’s expertise in leveraged finance and private credit. The team is also responsible for managing and growing the Firm’s relationships with investment banks and credit funds.

During the active ownership period of an investment, the team maintains regular contact with the portfolio company’s management and oversees all relevant capital markets activities (add-on financing, refinancing / recapitalisation or exit financing).

Our Track Record

We have a well-established track record of investing in a range of companies across the Industrials. To date, we have invested in 47 companies and deployed €3.4 billion of capital.

Derk Weĳers joined IK Partners in 2024 and is an Analyst within the Capital Markets team, specialising in the Industrials sector.

Prior to joining IK, Derk worked in the Leveraged Finance team at Rabobank. He holds an LLB from Utrecht University in addition to an LLM in Law and Finance from the University of Amsterdam.

Outside of work, Derk enjoys football, basketball and discovering new music.
