Kran og Industri Service
Leading Norwegian provider of inspection, service and maintenance for cranes and lifting equipment
Founded in 1987, Kran og Industri Service (“KIS” or “the Company”) is a leading player in the crane inspection and service industry. The Company is equipment-agnostic, servicing all electromechanical cranes and lifting devices, with a primary focus on land-based industrial cranes and harbour / marine cranes.
KIS has a long history of providing safe and high-quality services to businesses predominantly in the Industrials sector and who consider cranes mission-critical to their operations. Driven in part by regulatory requirements, the Company’s business model is based on a full-service offering which sees it covering both inspection / certification as well as service / maintenance of the cranes. At present, the Company employs more than 420 people who serve over 4,600 customers across Norway and the Netherlands.
IK Partners acquired a majority stake in September 2024 from the Company’s management team and employees; most of whom reinvested as part of the transaction.
