Europe's leading kitchen specialist
Nobia is a leading manufacturer and retailer of kitchen interior products in Europe. At the time of exit, Nobia sold its products directly to consumers and to the construction industry under well-known brands such as Marbodal, HTH, Novart, Norema, Poggenpohl and Magnet.
In September 1996, the IK 1994 Fund acquired Nobia from Stora. A partial exit was completed via an IPO on the Stockholm Exchange in June 2002, followed by a further stake reduction in October 2003. IK finally exited in February 2004, with remaining shares sold to a range of Swedish and international institutional investors.
Our Value Creation Strategy
During our ownership, we worked alongside the management team to:
- Facilitate organisational restructuring and rationalisation;
- Shift focus onto kitchens as a core business activity;
- Strengthen brand recognition; and
- Make strategic add-on acquisitions.
