Tecomatic
Leading Swedish provider of water treatment and erosion control solutions
Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Kalmar, Sweden, Tecomatic (“the Company”) is a specialist in protecting critical infrastructure and purifying marine environments, with end-to-end solutions for water treatment and erosion control.
The Company provides a broad range of water purification solutions designed to remove pollutants from stormwater, process water, leachate and wastewater before they are released into natural waterways. These solutions include sediment removal systems, floating barriers and silt screens. In addition, Tecomatic’s erosion control products – such as customisable concrete mattresses and rock bags – are used in both terrestrial and aquatic environments to prevent the spread of harmful sediment and protect infrastructure including bridges, wind turbines and underwater cables.
Operating across Sweden – from sites in Stockholm, Örnsköldsvik and Kalmar – Tecomatic’s 27 full-time employees predominantly serve a customer base comprising cities and municipalities, as well as recycling, construction and infrastructure companies.
IK Partners acquired Tecomatic in April 2025 via the IK Small Cap III Fund from PEQ Invest, alongside the Company’s management team who reinvested as part of the transaction. The investment was made from the fund’s dedicated pool of Development Capital.
