IK Partners divests Yellow Hive to a newly es...IK Investment Partners to acquire You Sure
Leading Dutch insurance distribution platform
Yellow Hive ("the Company"), formerly known as You Sure, is a leading Dutch insurance distribution platform. The Company acts as insurance broker and managing general agent (“MGA”), offering insurances both to SMEs and consumers. It is mainly active in the property and consultancy segment and has an increasing presence in pensions and income protection for businesses. Yellow Hive is one-stop-shop for small to medium-sized enterprises and also serves private individuals.
The Company was founded in 2011 by Ger Knikman and Joep van den Eijkel. Headquartered in Ridderkerk, the Company has eight offices across the Netherlands.
The investment was acquired from Synergia in November 2020, and the co-founders reinvested alongside IK Partners to support further growth of the business. In April 2024, IK Small Cap II ("IK SC II") divested Yellow Hive to the IK Strategic Opportunities I Fund, IK's first continuation vehicle, alongside co-lead investors TPG GP Solutions, AlpInvest Partners and Pantheon.

During our ownership, we worked alongside management to:
- Accelerate growth through mergers and acquisitions;
- Broaden service offering and cross-sell to existing customers;
- Expand online niche propositions to win new customers; and
- Automate and digitalise processes to improve customer experience and increase efficiencies.
