Founded in 1982 in the UK, Seventeen Group (“Seventeen” or “the Group”) is a multi-disciplinary insurance group which provides a comprehensive range of services including broking, underwriting, risk and claims management. The Group comprises three main entities: James Hallam, Touchstone and London Re.

James Hallam is a UK-wide brokerage platform focused on serving commercial, personal, specialty and high-net-worth clients domestically and globally; Touchstone is a specialist independent managing general agency servicing more than 550 brokers; and London Re, a joint venture with MRH Trowe and domiciled in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Collectively, Seventeen serves approximately 31,000 customers, with 385 employees across a dense regional network of 25 offices.

James Hallam is an FCA-registered insurance broker catering to a wide variety of clients ranging from large international organisations to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as private clients.

Touchstone serves as Seventeen’s in-house managing general agent, providing standardised and bespoke commercial underwriting solutions across liability and construction, property and retail, hospitality and leisure, marine and medical.

IK Partners acquired a minority stake in Seventeen via its IK Partnership III Fund, from the family shareholders and management team.
