Gonzalo Fernandez-Albiñana

Gonzalo Fernandez-Albiñana joined IK Partners in 2026 and is a Partner, responsible for the team covering investments across Spain and Portugal. Based in Madrid, Gonzalo has over 27 years of private equity experience and a strong track record of executing buyout and growth investments across a range of sectors and geographies. At IK, he sits within the Business Services sector team.

Prior to joining IK, Gonzalo worked at Ardian where he was Managing Director within the Buyout Fund in Spain with responsibility for all Iberian investment activity and member of the Management Committee. Before this, he held senior roles at Investindustrial and 3i Group. Gonzalo holds a double bachelor’s degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and ESC Reims.

Outside of work, he likes swimming, hiking, spending time with his family and is passionate about music being able to play both the flute and guitar.
