Kestrel Capital expands wealth management platform through acquisition of Kinsale Capital

Dublin, Ireland – 5 October 2026

Kestrel Capital (“Kestrel” or “the Group”), an independent Irish wealth management firm, today announced the acquisition of Kinsale Capital (“Kinsale” or “the Company”), a well-established provider of wealth management and investment advisory services to private clients across Ireland. The acquisition represents a significant milestone in the delivery of Kestrel's strategy to build Ireland's leading independent wealth management platform. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed and completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

Kinsale Capital was founded in 2005 by Gearoid Doyle and is headquartered in Dublin. Under the leadership of Gearoid, Seán Ó Flannagáin and George Dargan, Kinsale has built a strong reputation for delivering highly personalised wealth management services, underpinned by a disciplined approach to investment management. The Company has the same client focused and wealth preservation ethos as Kestrel and post transaction, Kinsale’s loyal and longstanding client base will continue to receive a high-quality service. George Dargan will join Kestrel to support the transition and ensure continuity for Kinsale’s clients. The acquisition further strengthens Kestrel's position in the Irish wealth management market, increasing group assets under management to over €1.5 billion.
