James Yates began his career at IK Partners in 2002 and currently works as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Partner responsible for Finance & Administration across the Firm. Since joining, James has played a pivotal role in setting up the various functions that sit within this team and continues to provide significant guidance around various aspects of reporting, valuations and legalities of the IK Funds and the Firm’s portfolio companies.
Prior to joining IK, James worked at Arthur Andersen and Moores Rowland International. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment. James graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 1993 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Accounting.
Outside of work, James enjoys sport (mainly watching these days) as well as an interest in fine wine and dining out.
